DR. ARUNA NIGAM
Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology
is a renowned Gynaecologist in New Delhi. Having completed her MBBS and MS from GSVM Medical College, Kanpur she worked as a Senior Resident and Assistant Professor in Era’s Lucknow Medical College, Lucknow. Thereafter, she came to Delhi and joined as a faculty for 5 years in the prestigious Lady Hardinge Medical College. Her passion for teaching and improvising Medical education by using latest technologies has evolved over the years.
She is currently working as Professor and Unit Head in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Jamia Hamdard, Delhi, where she is a guide to not just the budding undergraduate doctors but has also had a major role in refining the young gynaecologists into finer and skilful surgeons. She has improvised her teaching skills by doing basic and advanced courses of Medical education.

She has a teaching experience of nearly 2 decades. She has received various prestigious awards for her academic excellence and has over 150 research works published in National and International Journals. She has been instrumental in organizing various obstetrics skill workshops at her institute, for undergraduate, postgraduate students, practicing gynaecologist as well as AYUSH doctors. She is the Editor-In-Chief of the “Pan Asian Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology” and ISCCP Newsletter, and Senior Executive Editor of “Indian Journal of Medical Specialities”.
